View Video Tribute Betty J. Yarger, age 84, of Edgerton Ohio, died at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2007, at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler, Indiana, where she was a resident for several weeks. Mrs. Yarger was a retail clerk for Mast Department Store in Edgerton for eighteen years until her retirement. She was a member of the West Milford Church of Christ and the John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary in Edgerton. Betty J. Yarger was born on March 23, 1923, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Carl Cleveland and Gladys (Cook) Walden. She married Eldean W. Yarger on January 26, 1943, in Hicksville, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Yarger is survived by three daughters, Carol Ann (Ford) Hudson, of Butler, Indiana, Linda Lou (Fred) Storar, of Blackshear, Georgia, and Mary Jo (Tom) Stemen, of Butler, Indiana, two sons, Gary (Mary) Yarger, of Huntertown, Indiana, and Carl (Cheryl) Yarger, of Butler, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and two step-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Gaylord, Arthur and Roland Walden. Services for Betty J. Yarger will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. in the West Milford Church of Christ, near Hicksville, Ohio, with Pastors Larry Weller and Fred Lab officiating. Interment will follow in Six Corners Cemetery near Hicksville, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral in Edgerton, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m on Tuesday, June 5, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials in the name of Betty J. Yarger may be given to the West Milford Church of Christ.
