Ernest E. Williams, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:19 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where he was a patient. Mr. Williams served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by Freightway Corporation in Defiance, Ohio, and retired with 15 years of service. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bryan, Ohio, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #221 in Bryan, Ohio. Ernie enjoyed his retirement with family, children, grandchildren, and friends. Ernest E. Williams was born on July 19, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, the son of Ernest E. and Monica A. (Botkin) Williams. He married Margaret A. Zimmerman on January 23, 1960, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by his children, Kerri (Carl) Ferguson, of Plain City, Ohio, and Michael L. Williams, of Angola, Indiana, and five grandchildren, Logan, Tyler, Kinzie, Malcolm and Garrett. He is also survived by five brothers, Dennis (Sue) Williams, Jim (Mij) Williams, Tom Williams, Harrison Williams, and Bob (Pat) Hoagley, three sisters, Nila (Ed) Leedy, Dorothy Giffin, and Donna Squires. He was preceded in death by one sister, Maryann Williams. Memorial services for Ernest E. Williams will be on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Richard Franks officiating.
