Betty J. Armitage, age 77, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:15 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2004 in the home of her son in Hicksville, Ohio after a brief illness. Mrs. Armitage was employed as an assembler at Edgerton Metal Products and also had worked at Fleetwood Industries and Air-Way Manufacturing in Edgerton prior to her retirement. Betty J. Armitage was born May 6, 1927 in Spencerville, Ohio, the daughter of Harold P. and Evelyn (Strohl) McKinley. She married Charles A. Armitage on February 12, 1945 in Spencerville, Ohio and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1983. Mr.s Armitage is survived by three sons, Robert (Kay) Armitage, of Pensacola, Florida, Michael (Linda) Armitage, of Edgerton Ohio and Timothy (Carol) Armitage, of Hicksville, Ohio. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother, Harold, R. McKinley, of Lima, Ohio and one sister Mary Lee, of Spencerville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, Gregory Armitage, two brothers and two sisters. Services for Betty J. Armitage will be Friday, December 10, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. Visitation will be at the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton on Thursday, December 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care or a charity of the donor's choice.
