Hazel B. Wheeler, age 99, of Archbold and formerly a longtime resident of Edon, Ohio, died at 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, shortly after admittance to the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio. Mrs. Wheeler was a homemaker and formerly worked at offices of Toledo Edison and Burkhardt Pure Oil Company in Edon. She was also a member of the Edon Church of Christ and for the last ten years attended the Archbold Church of Christ while living in Archbold. Hazel B. Wheeler was born on April 19, 1909, in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of Ivan and Emma (Helms) Shuck. She married Roy Wheeler on December 31, 1927, in Wharton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2004. Mrs Wheeler is survived by two sons, Russell Wheeler, of Archbold, Ohio, and Marvin (LuAnn) Wheeler, of Wauseon, Ohio, one grandson, Chris Wheeler, of Wauseon, Ohio, one granddaughter, Kay Badenhop, of Archbold, Ohio, and one sister, Evelyn Cole, of Findlay, Ohio. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and five step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Linda Gigax, three brothers, a daughter-in-law, Lucille Wheeler, and a sister, Helen Shaffer. Services for Hazel B. Wheeler will be on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Fairlawn Haven Nursing Center in Archbold, Ohio. Interment and grave side services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Chapel of Fairlawn Haven Nursing Center in Archbold on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, from 2-8 p.m. Memorials in the name of Hazel B. Wheeler may be given to the Archbold Fire Department or to the Archbold Church of Christ.
