View Video Tribute Theresa Mae Skiles, age 73, of Long Lake near Fremont, Indiana, died early Thursday morning, shortly after admittance to Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola after a sudden illness. She was a graduate of Camden Frontier High School in 1950. Mrs Skiles was an administrative assistant at the Bryan Times in Bryan, Ohio, retiring in 1988 with twenty-two years of service. She was an active member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church, where she served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Women’s Missionary. She was a former member of the Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Edon, Ohio. Theresa Mae Skiles was born on May 28, 1933, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of Frank G. and Ester M. (Reppert) Aldrich. She married Hugh “Mac” Skiles on July 15, 1951, in Edon, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Barbara A. (Kenneth R., Sr.) Fikel, of Montpelier, Elaine S. Skiles, of Quincy, Michigan, Kevin G. (Donna D.) Skiles of Edon, Ohio, Kenneth L. (Becky A.) Skiles, of Franklin, Kentucky, six grandchildren, Kenneth R. Fikel II, and Carrie A. Fikel, of Montpelier, Ohio, Racheal M. Skiles, of Fremont, Indiana, Jamie B. Skiles, of Quincy, Michigan, Sgt. Ryan R. Skiles, with the U.S. Army in Japan, and Dustin Johnson, of Lagrange, Indiana. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Allysia Fikel, Tiana and Tevin Craig, Brenna and Bralin Fikel, Kaine and Kevin Hartman, and one sister, Carol G. (Robert) Slaybaugh, of Auburn, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ester Aldrich. Services for Theresa Mae Skiles will be on Monday, July 10, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Clear Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Case officiating. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio, from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 9. Memorials in the name of Theresa Mae Skiles may be given to the Clear Lake Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
