Ione G. Johnson

Ione G. Johnson, age 96, of Edon, Ohio, died at 4:05 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2008, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Center - Bryan, where she was a patient following a brief illness. Miss Johnson worked as a private duty nurses’ aide. She was a member of the Edon United Methodist Church. Ione G. Johnson was born on June 10, 1912, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Elva (Willabee) Johnson. Miss Johnson is survived by one nephew, Gene Johnson, of Alton, Missouri, and one niece, Debbie Trent, of Fordsville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gerald Johnson. Grave side services for Ione G. Johnson will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Edon Cemetery, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials in the name of Ione G. Johnson may be given to the hot meal program of the Williams County Department of Aging, Edon Branch.
