Dorothy E. Lambert

Dorothy E. Lambert, 91 years, of Bryan, died on Friday, March 30, 2007, at Harbrside Healthcare-Defiance, where she had been a resident the past year.  Dorothy had been employed as an assembler for the Ohio Art Company.  She also worked in the packing department of the former 50 Corporation in Bryan and assisted her husband in running their farm for many years.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan. Dorothy E. Lambert was born on May 16, 1915, in Center Township, Williams County, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer G. and Rose Caroline (Wischmeyer) Welsh.  She married Albert J. Lambert on February 18, 1936, and he preceded her in death in June 1976.  She then married Louie Lambert on April 7, 1989, and he also preceded her in death in September 1999. Surviving are one son, Robert W. (Louise) Lambert of Ney, Ohio; two daughters, Bonnie J. (Gerald) Murphy, of Defiance and Mary Lou (Roger) Demland, also of Defiance; one stepson, William (Martha) Lambert, of Bryan; one stepdaughter, Betty Lambert, of Bryan; eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and thirteen step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Welsh, of Benn, Oregon, and John Welsh of El Cajon, California.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, four sisters, Marguerite Langenderfer, Marie Traush, Catherine Mowat-Wonderly and Rita Wonderly. Funeral services for Dorothy E. Lambert will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2007, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan with Father Charles Ritter officiating.  Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.  Visitation for Mrs. Lambert will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2007, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with scripture services to be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials in the name of Dorothy E. Lambert may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
