William Edward Slattman, 63 years, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Saturday, March 31, 2007, in his residence. A graduate of Archbold High School, Bill was employed in the construction business for a total of 20 years, working for Glenn Lorentz Construction, Weaver Construction and Jim Like Construction. He also was a bartender at the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233, where he had been a long-time member. William Edward Slattman was born on July 17, 1943, in Ottawa, Ohio, the son of John A. and Josephine E. (Bush) Slattman. Surviving are one son, Steven A. Slattman, of Bryan; one granddaughter, Stephanie J. Slattman, of Bryan; his mother, Josephine E. Slattman, of West Unity, Ohio; three brothers, Albert E. (Linda) Slattman, of Byrdstown, Tennessee, John M. (Cyndee) Slattman, of Painesville, Ohio, and Larry A. (Debra) Slattman, of Fayette, Ohio; and two sisters, Carol (Norman) Hoffman, of West Unity, Ohio, and Donna J. (Dan) Nogeotte, of Eastlake, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, John, on March 16, 2001. Funeral services for William Edward Slattman will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Michael Martinelli officiating. Interment will follow in West Monroe Township Cemetery, Continental, Ohio. Visitation for Mr. Slattman will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, from 6-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of William Edward Slattman may be given to Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
