View Video Tribute James L. Blaisdell, age 61, of Bryan, Ohio, died unexpectedly Monday, March 28, 2005, in the emergency room of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Blaisdell was a Project Engineer working for Leader Engineering since October 2004. Prior to this, he was employed by the former Prairie Materials and also Challenge-Cook Brothers for over 30 years. He was a member of the Williams County Conservation League and the Stryker Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting and was a devoted family man. James L. Blaisdell was born on May 20, 1943, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Kay F. and Doris M. (Mack) Blaisdell. He married Gwendolyn K. Hageman on September 14, 1963, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Gwendolyn, Mr. Blaisdell is survived by four daughters, Delila (Jim) Siburt of Greenville, South Carolina, Kristine (Ron) Smith of Montpelier, Ohio, Melissa (Dan) Mann of Casper, Wyoming, and Keira Myers of Bryan, five granddaughters and three grandsons. Also surviving is his mother, Doris M. Blaisdell, of Bryan, Ohio, four brothers, Robert of Edgerton, George and Kenneth, both of Bryan, and Michael (Ruth) of Willard, Ohio, four sisters, Barbara (Frank) Hosler of Bryan, Beverly (Bill) Glore of Edgerton, Patricia Loomis of West Unity, and Karen (Ed) Mowrey of Aurora, Colorado, one brother-in-law, Harry Keller, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kay F. Blaisdell, and one sister, Marilyn Keller. Funeral Services for James L. Blaisdell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2005, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Doug Schrock officiating. Visitation for Mr. Blaisdell will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2005, from 4-7 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Memorials in the name of James L. Blaisdell may be given to the Williams County Conservation League or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
