James A. Crawford, age 53, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mr. Crawford was a 1969 graduate of Wauseon High School and also a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. He was employed at IR/ARO as a Manager of Technical Publications until his retirement in 1999 due to a disability. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan, Ohio, and the Fountain City and National Council Corvette Clubs. Jim also was a member of several classic rock bands, playing the bass and singing. He was a former baseball and softball coach in the Bryan youth leagues and was active in the Bryan Thunderdome remote controlled car racing club of Bryan, Ohio. James A. Crawford was born on November 18, 1951, in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of Albert and Marian (Plassman)Crawford. He married Sue A. Weber on October 16, 1976, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Wauseon, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Sue, he is survived by one daughter, Jaclyn A. Crawford, Dayton, Ohio, one son, Jon W. Crawford, Toledo, Ohio, his mother, Marian Crawford, Wauseon, Ohio, two brothers, Robert (Doris) Crawford, Franklin, Tennessee, and Thomas (Tia) Crawford, Alpharetta, Georgia, his father-in-law, Clyde Weber, Wauseon, Ohio, a sister and brother-in-law, Carl and Beverly Ayers, Wauseon, Ohio, one nephew and five nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Crawford, and his mother-in-law, Anna Weber. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor David Proctor officiating. Visitation for Mr. Crawford will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2005, from 4-6 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan, Ohio. Private funeral services will be held and private burial will be in Wauseon Union Cemetery, Wauseon, Ohio. Memorials in the name of James A. Crawford may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan, Ohio.
