Carson Gene Morton, age 78, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at his residence in Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Morton graduated from Bryan High School and was a veteran of the United States Army and the Korean Conflict. He was employed by The Aro Corporation in Bryan, Ohio, as a draftsman, retiring with 25 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Ohio, and a member of the VFW Post 2489 in Bryan. Carson Gene Morton was born on July 8, 1929, in Hamilton, Indiana, the son of Charles E. and Eunice F. (Diehl) Morton. He married Rita Jan Weinert on February 11, 1961, in Auburn, Indiana. Mr. Morton was preceded in death by his parents, wife Rita J. (Weinert) Morton and one sister, Darla Cox. Mr. Morton is survived by his children, Sandra K. Morton, of Franconia, New Hampshire, and Susan B. (Chris) Holewinski, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and two grandchildren, Elaine N. and Chloe M. Holewinski. Services for Carson Gene Morton will be on Monday, June 9, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Gus Nussdorfer officiating. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by VFW Post 2489. Visitation will be in the First Presbyterian Church, 506 Oxford Drive, Bryan, Ohio, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008. Memorials in the name of Carson Gene Morton may be given to the Veterans Memorial of Williams County or the Williams County Historical Society.
