View Video Tribute Mary E. Rusk, 89 years, of Bryan, died at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2007, at Hillside Country Living, where she had been a resident for the past several years. Mary was employed by the Williams County Courthouse as a clerk in the Marriage License Bureau. She had also been employed as a waitress for the former Brownie’s Restaurant in Bryan. She was a member of the First Brethren Church and active in the Women’s Missionary Group at church. Mary E. Rusk was born on January 1, 1918, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Alta (Maneval) Kerr. She married F. Grover Rusk on February 13, 1943, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Susan K. (Bernard) Schliesser, and Nancy L. Rusk, both of Bryan; three sons, James F. Rusk, of Martinsville, Indiana, Rev. David A. (Brenda) Rusk, of Dayton, Ohio, and William J. “Bill” Rusk, of Bryan, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Schliesser, Matthew and Brandon Schliesser, Corey (Jennifer) Rusk, Jessica (Rob) Welch, Crystal, Terrance and Ronnie Rusk; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Welch, Michael and Morgan Rusk, Ethan and Addison Schliesser. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Helen Snyder, two brothers, Joseph Kerr, Jr. and Robert Kerr, and two half-brothers, Paul and Lawrence Kerr. Funeral services for Mary E. Rusk will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at the First Brethren Church, 13050 County Road C, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Fred Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Rusk will be from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in the funeral home and also one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Memorials in the name of Mary E. Rusk may be given to First Brethren Church, 13050 County Road C, Bryan, Ohio 43506, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
