Alaina Brittany Rice

Alaina Brittany Rice, age three months, died at 12:04 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, Ohio. Alaina Brittany Rice was born on May 7, 2008, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Eric J. Rice and Becky E. Pierce, who survive. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, John and Yvonne Pierce, of Hicksville, Ohio, Robert and Charlie (Newman) Rice, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Christine Miller, of Angola, Indiana, her great-grandparents, Marian Pierce, of Hicksville, Ohio, Janet Steele, of Edgerton, Ohio, Robert and Nancy Rice, Sr., of Fremont, Indiana, and James Newman, Sr., of Edgerton, Ohio. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Alissa Pierce, of Hicksville, Ohio, Matt Whittaker, of Fremont, Indiana, Chad and Cody Fockler, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Maria Miller, of Angola, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Barbara Rice, Marcy Newman, Walter Pierce and Charles Steele. Services for Alaina Brittany Rice will be on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sonrise Community Church near Ney, Ohio, with Pastor Paul Myers officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Friday, August 29, 2008, from 7-9 p.m. and two hours prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the family.
