Linda L. Wortkoetter, age 64, of rural Edon, Ohio, died at 11:35 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008, in her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. Mrs. Wortkoetter was a 1961 graduate of Edon High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and United Food Workers Union. She had worked in retail business for thirty years with Burkhardt Grocery, Rite-Aid and Miller's New Market until she retired due to disability. Linda L. Wortkoetter was born on July 31, 1943, in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth P. and Vera M. (Keller) Headley. She married DeWayne A. Wortkoetter on January 27, 1962, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wortkoetter is survived by three sons, Andrew J. (Amy) Wortkoetter, of Greenfield, Indiana, Alan J. (Michelle) Wortkoetter, of Las Vega, Nevada, and Marvin A. (Danyel) Wortkoetter, of Edon,Ohio, eleven grandchildren and three sisters, Norma (Duane) Towers and Beverly Little, of Edon, Ohio, and Shirley (Dayton) Hake, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, John D. Wortkoetter, in 1985, and a brother, Marvin Headley. Services for Linda L. Wortkoetter will be on Friday, July 4, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blakeslee, Ohio, with Fr. Frederick Duschl officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008, with a scripture service at 8:00 p.m. Memorials in the name of Linda L. Wortkoetter may be given to Dystrophic Epidermoylisis Bullosa Reasearch Association (DEBRA).
