Lillian F. Calvert, age 90, of Bryan, Ohio, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at 1:20 p.m. in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she had been a patient for the past week. Mrs. Calvert was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Donations, a former Grey Lady at the former Cameron Hospital in Bryan, Ohio, and also was a member of the Coast Guard Power Squadron Ladies Auxiliary. In 1932, Lillian was a participant in the U.S. Olympic Trials. Lillian F. Calvert was born on January 12, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William and Frances Elizabeth (Urich) Kolar. She married N. M. Calvert on August 6, 1932, in Mason City, Iowa, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1985. Surviving are her two daughters, Frances (Dr. George) Wilkins, of Culver, Indiana, and Phyllis “Kalli” Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren, George (Dana) Wilkins III of Lee Summit, Missouri, Geoffrey Wilkins of Culver, Indiana, Elizabeth Ann Wilkins of DeKalb, Illinois, Cheryl Renee (Douglas) Bird of Fishers, Indiana, Deborah D. Apt and Michelle A. Apt, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Anne Skulnik and Alice Walker, and three brothers, Ralph, Charles and Frank Kolar. Funeral services for Lillian F. Calvert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Jon Exman officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Calvert will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Memorials in the name of Lillian F.
