Deloris E. Miller, age 80, of Sherwood, Ohio, died at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2008, at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Miller was employed by Spangler Candy Company in Bryan, retiring with fifteen years of service. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherwood, Ohio, the Sherwood Lions Club and the Democratic Women’s Committee. Deloris E. Miller was born on March 6, 1927, in Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Isaac R. and Roena (Link) Ankney. She married George Clayton Miller on May 17, 1944, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons, Jim (Diane) Miller, of Canton, Georgia, Bob (Bobbie) Miller and Dick (Debbie) Miller, both of Sherwood, Ohio, six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one sister, Imogene (Russell) Grimes, of Ney, Ohio, and one brother, Delvain (Pat) Ankney, of Defiance, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Ronald Lynn Miller, and three brothers, Jerome, Harold and Homer Ankney. Services for Deloris E. “Dee” Miller will be on Friday, February 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street in Bryan, Ohio, with Reverend Robert Eble officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 31. Memorials in the name of Deloris E. Miller may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
