Glenna Mae Derringer, 89, of Edon, Ohio, died at 1:05 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2005, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident. She was a homemaker and had worked at Frigidaire and was a Home Health Care giver. Glenna Mae Derringer was born August 4, 1915, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of William E. and Mae Gertrude (Kuntz) Armstrong. She married Laverne Derringer on October 6, 1966, in Dayton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on January 26, 1985. Mrs. Derringer is survived by one son, David Stoops, of Chickasaw, Alabama, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Pat Hay, of Edon, Ohio, Shirley M. Tibbs, of Angola, Indiana, and Linda K.. (Steve) Welmer, of Bradenton, Florida, and four brothers, Bill (Jenny) Armstrong, of Bryan, Ohio, Earl (Evelyn) Armstrong, of Hamilton, Indiana, Gene (Diane) Armstrong, of Perry, Ohio, and Larry (Kay) Armstrong, of Clear Lake, Indiana. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Myrtle Armstrong. Grave-side services for Glenna Mae Derringer will be at 1:00 p.m. (Ohio time) on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Columbia Cemetery near Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral in Edon, Ohio, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
