Rozeal M. “Rosie” Rex, age 99, formerly of Bryan, Ohio, and a resident for the past five years of Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance, Ohio, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance, Ohio. Rosie was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio. Rozeal M. Rex was born on September 23, 1905, in Blakeslee, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Lirot) Studer. She married Orville S. Rex on June 26, 1935, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2003. Surviving is one granddaughter, Colette “Kelly” Lee, of Mark Center, Ohio, one grandson, Stephen Lee, of Durham, North Carolina, great-grandchildren, Kristi and Michelle Lee, one sister, Dolores (Paul) Cape, of Edgerton, Ohio, and four nieces, Mary (Jerry) Houck of Bryan, Ohio, Dorothy (DeVonn) Werder of Hicksville, Ohio, Gloria Sunderman of Defiance, Ohio, and Myra (Dan) Koop, of Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orville, infant son, Clark Rex, one daughter, Mary Leatherman, two sisters, Lillian Burns and Dorothy Studer, and two brothers, Mersealle and Vandrille Studer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee, Ohio. Visitation for Mrs. Rex will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church Building Fund.
