Robert J. Beasley

View Video Tribute Robert J. Beasley, 81, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Beasley was employed by Superior Carbon Products in West Unity for 49 years, retiring as plant manager. He also was a greeter for Wal*Mart in Bryan for the past ten years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, the Bryan Moose Lodge #1064 and the Bryan Lions Club, of which he was a 50-year member and a Melvin Jones Fellow in 1997-1998. He also was a charter member of the 15-55 and 15-66 Investment Clubs. Robert J. Beasley was born on January 9, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Ira and Myrtle (Raleigh) Beasley. He married Dorothy J. Morgan on October 2, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Beasley is survived by eight children, Robert J. (Susan) Beasley, Jr., of Worthington, Ohio, Barbara A. Stone, of Bryan, William D. (Teri) Beasley, of Midland, Michigan, Richard A. (Jolyn) Beasley, of Phoenix, Arizona, Brian T. (Janet) Beasley, of Austin, Texas, James P. Beasley, of Toledo, Dale E. (Mary) Beasley, of Elkridge, Maryland, and Paul D. (Lori) Beasley, of Hilliard, Ohio, 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jonathan Beasley. Visitation for Robert J. Beasley will be held on Friday, February 10, 2006, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with a scripture service to begin at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Funeral services for Mr. Beasley will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2006, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials in the name of Robert J. Beasley may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers SHARE program.
