Kenneth L. Hopkins, age 95, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:32 A.M. on Monday, August 17, 2009, at St. Anne’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mr. Hopkins and his wife had been living at the Worthington Christian Village in Columbus, Ohio, for the last 1 ½ years. He was a graduate of Edgerton High School and was a veteran of United States Army, serving during World War II. He was employed by The Aro Corporation as a tool grinder and retired with more than thirty years of service. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Bryan. Mr. Hopkins was an avid golfer, playing until the age of 90 at the Suburban Golf Course near Bryan. Kenneth L. Hopkins was born on October 26, 1913, near Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Myrtle (McKee) Hopkins. He married Beulah F. Robb on July 23, 1949, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Gary (Becky) Hopkins, of Delaware, Ohio, one grandson, Michael Hopkins, of Columbus, and one sister, Frances Bucklew, of Sanford, Michigan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Richard Hopkins, and one sister, Thelma Hopkins. Services for Kenneth L. Hopkins will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489. Memorials in the name of Kenneth L. Hopkins may be given to the First Church of Christ in Bryan, Ohio.
