Betty J. Wallace, age 85, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 3:35 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009, at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient. Mrs. Wallace was employed by Hayes-Albion Corporation for thirty-five years and then worked at Air-Way Manufacturing in Edgerton, Ohio, until retirement. She was a member of the Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233 Auxiliary, and was a longtime supporter of Edgerton athletics and the Edgerton Athletic Boosters. Betty J. Wallace was born on January 11, 1924, in Ottawa, Ohio, the daughter of Charles H. and Gertrude (Williams) Ross. She married Harold Wallace on January 25, 1941, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her children, Jerry Wallace, in 1993, and Connie Luderman, in 2008, four brothers and one sister. Mrs. Wallace is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Wallace, of Edgerton, Ohio, a son-in-law, Thomas Luderman, of Hicksville, Ohio, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Leo Ross, of Paulding, Ohio, and a sister, Virginia Wilson, of Ottawa, Ohio. Visitation for Betty J. Wallace will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Services will be on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton with Bill Priest officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery near Bryan, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Betty J. Wallace may be given to Edgerton Athletic Boosters, Edgerton Summer Recreation Association or the Williams County Humane Society.
