Viola B. Myers Leslie

Viola B. Myers Leslie, age 94, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 9:17 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mrs. Leslie attended both Pulaski and Bryan Schools. She was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church and the Pulaski U.M.W. Viola was the cafeteria manager at Pulaski School for eleven years and worked at Ohio Art Company for eighteen years prior to her retirement. Viola B. Myers Leslie was born on March 6, 1915, in Pulaski, the daughter of Solomon E. (Dave) and Myrtle Dell (White) Bostater. She married Richard A. Myers on October 12, 1935, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1982. She then married Alden Leslie on February 14, 1996, in Pulaski and he survives. Mrs. Leslie is also survived by one son, Richard E. (Donna) Myers, of Bryan, Ohio, a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Myers, of Fremont, Indiana, two sisters, Willina Kornrumpf, of Bryan, and Lee Koch, of Panama City, Florida, and seven grandchildren, Bruce Myers, of Bryan, Ohio, Brad (Judith) Myers, of Southfield, Michigan, Brent (Lyn) Myers, of Pioneer, Ohio, Amy (Dan) Goehler, of Coldwater, Michigan, Stacey (Brian) Wieland, of West Unity, Ohio, Brett (Tonya) Myers, of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Kurtis Myers, of Toledo, Ohio, eleven great-grandchildren and many neices and nephews. Also surviving are six stepchildren, Dennis (Tonya) Leslie, of Montpelier, Ohio, Kathleen Brannan, of Bryan, Ohio, Ruth (Randy) Nester, of Edon, Ohio, Barbara (Rod) Eckley, of Pioneer, Ohio, Elaine (Ron) Hake, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Becky (Mike) Moore, of Montpelier, Ohio, twenty stepgrandchildren, and twenty-two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard, and an infant son, Charles, two sons, Jerald, in 1998, and Dennis, in 2008, three sisters, Virginia Lavens Mitchell, Doris Rowe, and Nellie Ladd Handy, and five brothers, Ellsworth (Bud), George Richard, Charles Roger, and William Bostater and Roland Boothman. Visitation for Viola B. Myers Leslie will be on Friday, August 14, 2009, from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pulaski United Methodist Church with Pastor Becky Ploughe officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Pulaski. Memorials in the name of Viola B. Myers Leslie may be given to Pulaski United Methodist Church.
