Leslie G. Wheeler, age 58, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a patient. Mr. Wheeler was employed by Norfolk and Southern Railroad from 1974-1984 and then became a truck driver and was an owner-operator. He worked for Chambers Leasing from 1994-2004, until his retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Leslie G. Wheeler was born on April 6, 1950, in Hudson, Michigan, the son of Donald D. and Esther Margaret (Slusher) Wheeler. He married Brenda Bostater on August 9, 1972, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Leslie W. (Tawyna) Wheeler, of Montpelier, Ohio, a daughter, Sheila (Matthew) Harris, of Athens, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, Shania, Alan, and Raya Wheeler, and Alex and Adam Harris, one brother, Lowell Wheeler, of New Haven, Indiana, and one sister, Troybelle Luce, of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harley Wheeler. Visitation for Leslie G. Wheeler will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, in the Krill Funeral Home with David Vandeman, Minister officiating. Memorials in the name of Leslie G. Wheeler may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
