View Video Tribute Clara I. Middleton, 89 years, formerly of Bryan and Edgerton, Ohio, died on Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Waterville, Ohio. Mrs. Middleton was a seamstress for the former K & R Cleaners and a cook for Lester’s Diner, Bryan. She attended the Edgerton Church of Christ and was a member of the Willow Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Mountain Grove, Missouri. Clara I. Middleton was born on June 9, 1917, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, the daughter of James and Samantha (Hill) Bradshaw. She married Forest Middleton on December 23, 1933, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on January 26, 1971. Surviving are her son, Jerry (Bonnie) Middleton, of Bryan; one daughter, Patricia Penrod, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren, John (Kim) Paine, Jr., of Bryan, Kendra Fisher, of Bryan, Jeff (Angie) Paine, of Bryan, Tonya M. (Christopher) Suffel, of Edgerton, Christopher Stevens, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Amy (Marshall) Bradley, of Reisterstown, Maryland; and great-grandchildren, John III and Stevi Paine, Andrew and Brittiany Fisher, Nicole Calloway, Jacob Paine, Kiera Suffel, Caleb Stevens, Anthony and Andrew Bradley. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara and Joann Middleton, four brothers, Walter, Leonard, William and Lawrence Bradshaw, and one sister, Nellie Caudle. Funeral services for Clara I. Middleton will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, 315 North Main Street, Mountain Grove, Missouri, with Pastor Duane Crewse officiating. Interment will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery, Mountain Grove, Missouri. Visitation for Mrs. Middleton will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 25, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove, Missouri. Memorials in the name of Clara I. Middleton may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
