Bud E. Wallace, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio in Bryan, where he was a resident. Mr. Wallace was a material handler at Vistron, retiring with ten years of service. He was an Army veteran of World War II, during which he served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in the European Theatre and received the purple heart. Bud E. Wallace was born on April 14, 1922, in Kiahsville, West Virginia, the son of John Henry and Nancy Elizabeth (Gilkerson) Wallace. He married Betty J. Seevers on November 15, 1963, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on October 29, 1999. He is survived by one son, David (Peggy Myers) Wallace, of Bryan, Ohio, four sisters, Nora Belle Skidmore, of Sutton, West Virginia, Bertha Wallace, of Fayetteville, West Virginia, Frieda Polter, of West Unity, Ohio, and Barbara Drake, of Frametown, West Virginia, one brother, Thomas Wallace, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ada Johnson, Victoria Adkins and Dorothy Ramey, and two brothers, Ernie and Millard Wallace. Grave side services for Bud E. Wallace will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Dee Custer officiating. Grave side military rites will be conducted by VFW Post #2489 of Bryan, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23. Memorials in the name of Bud E. Wallace may be given to Community Hospital and Wellness Centers-Hospice Care.
