Donald "Bones" D. Laukhuf Sr., age 79, died October 23, 2009. Born November 28, 1929, to Christian and Josphine(Lee) Laukhuf in Haviland, Paulding County, Ohio. He farmed, gardened, welded and drove truck for many years. Mr. Laukhuf was a CPL Military Police in the Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31, Montpelier Eagles and 60 year member of the National Thrashermen Association. Surviving is his wife, Fran, of Montpelier, sons, Donald (Lucy) Laukhuf, Jr., of Wauseon, Rodney (Currine) Laukhuf, of Montpelier, daughters, Julie (Skip) Franks, of Bryan, Angela (Tom)Frederick, of Angola, Indiana, ten grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren, 11 step greatgrandchildren, two step sons, Terry (Donna) Drewyor, of Bryan, Clif Drewyor, and friend Rita, of Montpelier, three step grandchildren, five step greatgrandchildren, brothers, Vern (Carolyn), of Antwerp, Robert (Barb), of Haviland, Everette, of West Liberty, sister in law, Mary, of Paulding, former wife, Betty, of Warrenton, Missouri. Preceding in death are his parents, brother Ed and step grandson Troy. A memorial service will be held at New Life Worship Center, CR C, Bryan, on October 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Military rites will be performed at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. In Lieu of flowers, money may be given to the family, Community Hospital & Wellness Centers, Hospital Hospice or New Life Worship Center.
