Jesse O. Cooley, age 75, of Bryan, died at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at his home from injuries sustained in an accident. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Cooley was employed as a mechanic at Harrington Body Shop, Bryan Chrysler, and Bryan Auto Plaza, from where he retired. He was a member of the West Jefferson Zion Lutheran Church. He also had a love for woodworking and was a jack of all trades. Jesse O. Cooley was born on October 12, 1933, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Lincoln M. and Alda J. (Davis) Cooley. He married Janet A. McKelvey on June 25, 1955, in Butler, Indiana, and she survives. Mr. Cooley is also survived by one daughter, Jeri Cooley, of Toronto, Canada, two sons, Jon (Margaret) Cooley, of Bryan, Ohio, and Jeremy Scott (Laurie) Cooley, of Montpelier, Ohio, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three brothers, Leonard Cooley, of Ontario, Oregon, Homer (Leona) Cooley, of Oroville, California, and Roy Cooley, of Payette, Idaho, and one sister, Marie Dooms, of Nampa, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Scott Cooley, and one sister, Gina Wussow. There will be no services.
