Duane A. Taylor, age 84, of Edon, Ohio, died at 7:46 a.m on Thursday, September 25, 2008, in Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, Ohio, where he was a patient. Mr. Taylor was a truck driver for Ramus Truck Line for nearly ten years and retired due to disablilty. He also operated a farm near Edon for many years. Duane A. Taylor was born on July 10, 1924, near Alvordton, Ohio, the son of George W. and Edith (Cox) Taylor. He married Helen M. Luke on July 30, 1944, in Fayette, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Diana (Roger) Hartsock, of Edon, Ohio, a son, Thomas (Jeri) Taylor, of Montpelier, Ohio, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-granddaughter and a sister-in-law, Mildred Taylor, of Edon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Marvin Taylor, in 1964 and a brother, Denver Taylor, in 2002. Grave side services for Duane A. Taylor will be held on Monday, September 29, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Brown Cemetery near Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Duane A. Taylor may be given to the Edon Library.
