Norman L. Cook, age 73, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009, at Wesley Health Care, Auburn, Indiana, where he was being treated for a short-term illness. Mr. Cook retired from The Aro Corporation, Bryan, Ohio, where he was employed for 40 years. He was a member of the Farmer Church of Christ and was also a member of the Farmer Grange and EMS. He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Norman L. Cook was born on June 17, 1935, in Defiance County, Ohio, the son of Harree and Mona (Buda) Cook. He married Norma Manon on July 23, 1960, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Vickie Cook, of Bryan, Ohio, Penny Cook, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Shelly (Paul) Delno, of Sherwood, Ohio, and Amy (Tim) Dietz, of Hicksville, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Scott and Christopher Cromwell, Tyler and Lindsey Delno, Matthew, Jaclyn, and Madison Dietz, Amy (Robert) Wagner, Amanda (Kenneth) Canfield, Angie (Michael) Medaugh, and Amanda (Tim) Carlin; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kirtis and Nicholis Klinger, Bryce Wagner, Payton Cromwell, Stephanie, Ivan, Elizabeth Canfield, Destany and Nolan Medaugh, Alyssa, Brianna, Kaytlyn, and Logan McGray; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Cook, of Hicksville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Gertrude Rohrs, one brother, Roger Cook, one son-in-law, Michael Cromwell, and one great-grandson, Connor McGray. Services for Norman L. Cook will be on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Weller officiating. Interment will follow in Farmer Cemetery, Farmer, Ohio. Visitation will be in Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Memorials in the name of Norman L. Cook may be given to American Lung Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
