Jean H. Gentle

Jean Helen Gentle, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009, in Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident. Mrs. Gentle was a resident of New York prior to moving to Bryan, Ohio, in 1999. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan, Ohio. Jean Helen Gentle was born on March 6, 1922, in Wooster, Massachusetts, the daughter of Walter and Caroline (McNair) Graves. She married Eugene Gentle in May of 1940 and he preceded in death on May 6, 1972. Mrs. Gentle is survived by eight children, including Liz (Peter) Kos, of Bryan, Ohio, and Margaret Gentle, of Lynbrook, New York, three grandsons, Peter (Heather) Kos, Jr., of Fort Collins, Colorado, Jason (Sheila) Kos, of Bryan, Ohio, and Corey Kos, of Juneau, Alaska, stepgranddaughter, Debra Kos, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Kos, of Bryan, Ohio, Peter Alexander Kos, of Fort Collins, Colorado, Caleb Kos, of Juneau, Alaska, Kaylee and Cole Burggrave, of Bryan, Ohio, and her special friend and loving pet dog, Simba. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children and a sister, Vera Mattis. Private services for Jean Helen Gentle were held on Sunday, March 1, 2009, with Reverend Mary Beth Smith-Webb officiating.
