Larry L. Laub, age 66, of Lake Seneca, near Montpelier, Ohio, died on Friday, October 9, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a patient. He was a 1961 graduate of Stryker High School. Mr. Laub was a longtime resident of Hicksville, Ohio, and of New Palestine, Indiana, where he worked for International Harvester/Navistar, retiring in 1990 with thirty years of service. While in New Palestine he gave many hours to the youth baseball programs. He was a devoted family man, known for his love of family. He was also an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. Larry leaves behind a host of memories and loved ones. Larry L. Laub was born on August 25, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of William K. and Mary E. (Bowen) Laub. He married Joyce Goebel on June 6, 1964, in Stryker, Ohio, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife, Joyce, are two daughters, Lisa (Bill) Pitt, of McRae, Georgia, and Josie (Mike) Hoff, of Cicero, Indiana, one son, Brian (Kristie) Laub, of Montpelier, Ohio, four grandchildren, Tyler and Zak Pitt and Lynzi and Brady Laub, his mother and stepfather, Mary “Betty” and Robert Kyser, of Bryan, Ohio, one brother, Ken (Cathy) Laub, of Archbold, Ohio, one sister, Jill (Lew) Stough, of Pioneer, Ohio, and his beloved dog, CoCo. He was preceded in death by his father, William K. Laub, and an infant sister, Diane. Visitation for Larry L. Laub will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Larry L. Laub may be given to the American Cancer Society.
