Debra Lynn Kizer, age 51, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009, in Cleveland, Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Kizer was a graduate of Edgerton High School and Four County Joint Vocational School. She was a cafeteria cook at Edgerton Local Schools and a member of Life Changing Realities Fellowship in Edgerton, Ohio.
Debra Lynn Kizer was born on October 31, 1957, in Bryan, Ohio, to Donald Humbarger and Marcella M. Lucas. She was later adopted by James Newman. On July 4, 1988, she married James E. Kizer in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Scott James Kizer and Christopher John Kizer, both of Edgerton; four stepchildren, Kelly (Chip) Fifer, of Antwerp, Ohio, Jim (Kim) Kizer, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mark (Sarah) Kizer, of Toledo, Ohio, and Jade (Steve) Staley, also of Fort Wayne; seven stepgrandchildren; several siblings and her adoptive father, James Newman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcy Newman, and her biological father.
Services for Debra Lynn Kizer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Byron Adams officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Memorials in the name of Debra Lynn Kizer may be given to the American Cancer Society.
