Sarah Katherine Pippin, age 83, formerly of Bryan, Ohio, and a longtime resident of Goldbond, Virginia, died at 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Parkview Nursing Center in Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a resident. While living in the Bryan area she was employed Spangler Candy Company for more than ten years. While residing in Virginia she was a cook and restaurant owner for many years. While in Goldbond she attended the local Baptist Church. Sarah Katherine Pippin was born November 11, 1922, in Goldbond, Virginia, the daughter of Charles Taylor and Myrtle May (Lucas) Manning. She married Andrew Pippin and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Pippin is survived by one son, Robert Lowe, several grandchildren, three sisters, Helen Osborne, of Narrows, Virginia, Cardella Brown, of Dublin, Virginia, Ella Mae Day, of Goldbond, Virginia, one brother, Dewey Manning, of Goldbond, Virginia, a sisiter-in-law, Annie Manning, of Edon, Ohio, several step-children and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Manning and one sister Virginia Snyder. Services for Sarah Katherine Pippin will be Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio with Pastor Steven Scrabeck officiating. Burial will follow in the Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday prior to the service from 1 - 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Sarah Katherine Pippin may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
