View Video Tribute Lary Paul Schmitt, age 65, of Monroe, North Carolina, died suddenly on Saturday, August 27, 2005, of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Schmitt was a sales representative for Wrisco Industrial Sales in Twinsburg, Ohio, retiring in 2003. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a jokester with a wonderful sense of humor. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Lary Paul Schmitt was born November 1, 1939, in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of Paul and Agnes (Boysen) Schmitt. He married Jestine Perry on May 2, 1976, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Paege (Shaun) Murphy, of Sandusky, Ohio, Karla (Nathan) Widing, in Maine, Marla (Kelly) Johnson, in Michigan, two sons, Wade Schmitt, and Nate (Laura) Schmitt, of Port Clinton, Ohio, three stepdaughters, Sheila (Ken) Nye and Tammy Pangle, both of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Heather Gallant, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and ten grandchildren, Austin and Amber Widing, Shannon and Kristen Murphy, Kylie and Collin Schmitt, Lily Schmitt, Ana Marie Pangle, and Elizabeth and Kendall Nye. He is also survived by two brothers, Lee Schmitt, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Richard Schmitt, of Fremont, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Layne Schmitt. Memorial services for Lary Paul Schmitt will be held Saturday, September 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Reverend Richard Buchsteiner officiating. Memorials in the name of Lary Paul Schmitt may be given to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be sent to and the online register signed at www.krillfuneralservice.com.
