View Video Tribute Burlin L. “Jimmy” Weaver, age 67, of Edgerton and formerly of Garrett and Butler, Indiana, died Saturday, November 19, 2005, at the VA Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a longtime employee of Borg-Warner and then Auburn Gear in Auburn, Indiana ,retiring in 1998 with over thirty years of service. Mr. Weaver was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion in Edgerton, Ohio, and a former member of the VFW. He was active in his communities as a Boy Scout Leader in Garrett, Indiana, and as a special deputy with Noble County, Indiana, Sheriff’s Department for several years. In recent years he had become and avid remote control car racer. Burlin L. “Jimmy” Weaver was born January 12, 1938, in Moatsville, West Virginia, the son of Clyde and Rozilla (Shaffer) Weaver. He married Lueray Delander in 1959 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Weaver is survived by one son, Donald (Tina) Weaver, in Michigan, one daughter, Debbie Roby, in Florida, twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Services for Burlin L. “Jimmy” Weaver will be Friday, November 25, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, November 25, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Burlin L. “Jimmy” Weaver may be given to the John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion.
