Hazel Rae McCormick

Hazel Rae McCormick, age 87, died at 10:32 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009, in the home of her daughter in Defiance, Ohio, after a brave year-long battle with cancer. Mrs. McCormick was a lifelong resident of East Liverpool, Ohio, and a longtime employee of Hills Department Store in East Liverpool. Hazel Rae McCormick was born on March 23, 1921, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond Leroy and Doris Florence (Kitts) Leach. She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Tom) Potts, of Defiance, Ohio, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris McCormick.
