Daniel L. Berkebile

Daniel L. Berkebile, age 46, of Montpelier, Ohio, died on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, where he had been a patient since January 29. Mr. Berkebile had been employed at numerous manufacturing plants in the area and at Heartland Homes in Wauseon prior to his retirement due to disability. He was a member of the Montpelier Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2246. Daniel L. Berkebile was born on August 24, 1962, in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of Wendell R. and Emma M. (Mead) Berkebile. He married Sandra S. (Stark) Wilson on July 30, 2005, in Hicksville, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, K. Scott (Cassandra) Wilson, of Stryker, Ohio, and Andrew J. (and fiancee, Stacy Beattie) Wilson, with the United States Navy, his siblings, Connie (Jerry) Zimmerman, of West Unity, Ohio, Jackie (Lawrence) Day, of Pioneer, Ohio, Donna (Roger) Pannell, of Montpelier, Ohio, Ray (Sue) Berkebile, of Alvordton, Ohio, his twin brother, Randall (Irene) Berkebile, of Bryan, Ohio, and Emily (Nate Bond) Lee, of Montpelier, Ohio, and an aunt, Lucy Smith, of Waterloo, Indiana. He also leaves his beloved dog, Daisy Mae. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brothers, Richard Shawn and Clyde Patrick Berkebile. Services for Daniel L. Berkebile will be on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Father Thomas Oedy officiating. Interment will follow in Wauseon Union Cemetery, Wauseon, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4. Memorials in the name of Daniel L. Berkebile may be given to the family.
