Robert L. Hose

View Video Tribute Robert L. Hose, age 75, of rural Butler, Indiana, died at 10:05 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2005, in Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after an illness of several months. Mr. Hose was a farmer and was also employed at Dana Corporation, retiring in 1987 with thirty years of service. He was a member of the Butler, Indiana, Church of Christ. Robert L. Hose was born March 26, 1930, near Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Frank L. and Mary (Bovlick) Hose. He married Nora J. Richards on January 14, 1951, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan (Rick) Stiver, of Edgerton, Ohio, Cheryl (Carl) Yarger, of Butler, Indiana, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Douglas Hose, in 1984, and four sisters, Lois Gleason, Gertrude Reese, Ann Sanxter, and Maxine Jerger. Services for Robert L. Hose will be Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. (Ohio time) in the Butler Church of Christ with Pastor Frank Weller officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, after 3:00 p.m. (Ohio time) on Tuesday, October 18. Memorials in the name of Robert L. Hose may be given to the Butler Church of Christ or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
