Calvin E. Gipple, 61, of Hicksville, Ohio, died Thursday, August 25, 2005, in his residence. Calvin was employed by Dura Automotive in Butler, Indiana, in the Plating Department for seven years. He was a member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556. Calvin E. Gipple was born on March 23, 1944, in Butler, Indiana, the son of Ora J. and Thelma (Weldy) Gipple. Surviving are two daughters, Loretta (Scott) Hart, of Spencerville, Indiana, Pearl (Gilberto) Ramirez, of Butler, Indiana; three sons, Jeremy (Holly) Coleman and Kenny Coleman, both of Avilla, Indiana, and Larry (Melissa) Lee of Spencerville, Indiana; 18 grandchildren; seven sisters, Vesta Bowen, of Edgerton, Ohio, Shirley Gipple, Veronica (LaVern) Yoder, Patsy Gipple, Donna (Jim) Wasson, Mary (Rich) Waters, and Linda (Michael) Johnson, all of Hicksville, Ohio; four brothers, Ed (Sue) Gipple, of Montpelier, Ohio, Don (Becky) Gipple, of Toledo, Ohio, Ron (Loretta) Gipple and Dennis (Carolyn) Gipple, both of Hicksville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Dora Jo Lawson, and one brother, Ora Gipple, Jr. Funeral services for Calvin E. Gipple will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2005, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Herb Strickland officiating. Visitation for Mr. Gipple will be held on Monday, August 30, 2005, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. Memorials in the name of Calvin E. Gipple may be given to The Caring Way Hospice of Defiance County or the Hicksville Senior Center.
