Jeffrey A. Stark, age 45, of Defiance, Ohio, died at 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, in Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, where he was a resident. He was a 1982 graduate of Edgerton High School, where he was active in baseball, basketball and football. He was employed by Hayes-Albion in Bryan, Ohio, retiring due to disability. He was a member of the Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233. He coached pony league baseball and minor league girls softball in Edgerton and also coached the Eagles ladies softball team. Jeffrey A. Stark was born on August 28, 1963, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Richard C. and Karen B. (Witte) Stark. He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Stark, of Hamilton, Indiana, his father, Richard C. Stark, of Edgerton, Ohio, a sister, Cheri (Matt) Pollard, of Sherwood, Ohio, one nephew, two nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen B. Stark, in 1998 and a sister, Charlene R. Rodriquez-Shadbolt, in 2007. Services for Jeffrey A. Stark will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2009, with a scripture service to be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorials in the name of Jeffrey A. Stark may be given to Indiana University Medical Molecular Genetics Research in Huntington’s Chorea Disease, Brookview Healthcare Center Activity Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
