View Video Tribute Carol A. McBride, 61, of rural Bryan, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she had been a patient the past ten days. Carol was a cashier at Bryan High School for 18 years, retiring in 2001. She had also been a server at Founders Hall in Sauder Village, Archbold. She was a member of First Brethren Church, Bryan, Ohio. Carol A. McBride was born on August 13, 1944, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of Paul L. ”Lavere” and Julia M. (Hand) Whitney. She married Richard G. McBride on October 15, 1966, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her three children, Ronald G. McBride, of Bryan, Julie A. (Eric) Beagle, of Bryan and Michael J. (Tiffany) McBride, of Edon, Ohio; two grandchildren, Joshua McBride and Elizabeth Beagle; two brothers, Donald Whitney, of Edon, and Duane (Tina) Whitney of Camden, Michigan; three sisters, Kay (Marvin) Gearhart, of Edon, Maxine (Fred) Bryner, of Hessel, Michigan, and Deb (Dan) Tassier, of Cedarville, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Larry) Bauer, of West Unity, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters-in-law, Karen Whitney and Norma Grine. Funeral services for Carol A. McBride will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2005, in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastors Sam Shultz and Fred Brandon officiating. Interment will be in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan. Visitation for Mrs. McBride will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 14, in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Carol A. McBride may be given to Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
