Ruth H. Clifton-Gfeller

View Video Tribute Ruth Helen Clifton-Gfeller, age 87, of Corunna, Indiana, died at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006, in her home after a brief illness. She was homemaker. Ruth Helen Clifton-Gfeller was born September 2, 1918 in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Eliza A. (VanOrsdale) Wilcox. She married Donald D. Clifton, Sr, and her preceded in death in 1967, She the married Frank Purchis who preceded her in 1992 and then married Fred Gfeller on June 24, 1993 in Auburn, Indiana and he survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Donald D. Clifton, of Butler, Indiana, four grandchildren, Tammy Lisa Clifton, of Butler, Indiana, Dawn Marie Hankey, of Auburn, Indiana, Odin Edward Clifton, of Butler, Indiana, ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one grandson, Donald D. “Dewy” Clifton, III, two brothers and one sister. Service for Ruth Helen Clifton-Gfeller, will be Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Brother Denzel Short and Brother Greg Shipe officiating. Interment will be in Jonesville, Michigan. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday May 16 prior to the service. Memorials in the name of Ruth Helen Clifton-Gfeller may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
