Berdena “Birdie” Alice Jones, age 79, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 7:22 P.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2009, after a recent illness. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Bryan Eagles and had a love for the game of Bingo. She retired from Allied Moulded Products after nineteen years of service. Berdena Jones was born on February 7, 1930, in Butler, Indiana, the daughter of James and Bertha May (Garland) Fry. She married Denver Jones on November 8, 1947. Surviving are three children, Nancy (Burnell) Bauer, of Ney, Ralph (Sheila) Jones, of Edon, and Charlotte (Tony) Jones-Tersigni, of Toronto; four sisters, Dorothy Jones and Ann Morris, both of Bryan, Janet Collingsworth and Margret (Francis) Miller, both of Butler, Indiana; one brother, Robert Fry, also of Butler; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight siblings, one grandchild, and special friend, Edwin Harrington. Services for Birdie Jones will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry St., Bryan, Ohio, with Reverend Ron Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, from 5:00-9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 28. Memorials in the name of Berdena Alice Jones may be given to Hospital Hospice & Home Health or American Cancer Society.
