Larry D. Atchison

Larry D. Atchison, 57, of Paris, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Larry had been employed as a machinist from 1972-1985 and as a supervisor at Boeing Commercial Airline Co. from 1986-2003. During his employment there he was elected Employee of the Quarter three times. He was a former member of the Montpelier Fire Department, Montpelier, Ohio, from 1978-1980. He also had been an EMT on the Edgerton, Ohio, EMS Squad from 1981-1984. He served the Paris Henry County, Tennessee, Rescue Squad from 1984-1985. Larry D. Atchison was born on December 15, 1951, in Paris, Tennessee, the son of Lloyd Dock and Pearl Christine (Herbison) Atchison. He married Cheryl Poole on October 21, 1970. Surviving are his ex-wife, Cheryl Atchison, two sons, Chris Atchison, of Yuma, Arizona, and Todd Atchison, of Maple Valley, Washington, eight grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Janette McKown, June Butts, Pat Parris, and Margaret Jane Atchison, and two brothers, Bobby Dewayne Atchison and Harold Atchison. A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 1, 2009, at 4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Reverend Rick Barnett officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home prior to the service, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Memorials in the name of Larry D. Atchison may be given to the Williams County Humane Society.
