Robert O. Pelland

Robert O. Pelland, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, died peacefully at 9:16 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Pelland was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII. He was a long-time truck driver for Bryan Truck Lines and also owner/operator prior to his retirement. He was a long-time member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. Robert O. Pelland was born on January 30, 1925, in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Oscar and Mabel (Kelly) Pelland. He married Helen R. Hall on January 30, 1959, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Kathy Mosier, of Ludington, Michigan, Dianna Rickman, and Robert E. Pelland, of Altoona, Florida, Bill Pelland, of Bryan, Ohio, Susan Miller, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Georgeann Pelland, of Blakeslee, Ohio, eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were five brothers, two sisters, one son, Bobby, and one daughter, Sandy. Services for Robert O. Pelland will be private with interment in Poplar Ridge Cemetery. Grave side military rights will be conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489.
