Lenore C. Impton, age 91, a lifelong resident of Bryan, Ohio, died at 1:55 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center where she was a patient for one day. Mrs. Impton was a 1935 graduate of Bryan High School and a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women, serving many years as secretary. She was also a Sunday school teacher and taught Bible school for twenty-seven years. She was also the financial secretary of the church and administrative board secretary for many years. Lenore C. Impton was born June 20, 1917 in Bryan, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Clara (Wolf) Witzerman. She married Dewey G. Impton on September 26, 1952 in Bryan, Ohio and he preceded her in June of 1974. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy J. (Judson) Altaffer, with whom she resided with the past 2 ½ years. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Holly (Scott) Psurny, of Bryan, Ohio, Heidi (Nicholas) Hitchcock, of Edgerton, Ohio, six great-grandchildren, Jacob Altaffer, Andrew Hitchcock, Logan, Hannah, Ethan and Lydia Psurny. She was preceded by her parents, husband and one sister, Arlene Clark. Services for Lenore C. Impton will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pulaski United Methodist Church with Pastor Debbie Kaylor officiating. Interment will follow in th Shiffler Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 3. In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Lenore C. Impton may be given to the Pulaski United Methodist Church.
