Virginia M. Gallagher

Virginia M. Gallagher, 88, a lifelong resident of the Detroit, Michigan, area and a resident of Dream Haven, Edgerton, Ohio, for the last eight months, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan, where she was a patient the last six days. A secretary-receptionist for several Detroit area offices during her working career, she had retired at the age of 80. Born July 4, 1917, at Detroit, Michigan, to Veronica (Bobroski) and John Jerlecki, she married Hugh Basil Gallagher in 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving are a sister, Charlotte V. Priem of Coldwater, Michigan, and a niece, Mrs. Ron (Dolores) Whitman, also of Coldwater. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John F. Jerlecki. There will be no visitation or services. Private interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Mt. Clemens. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
