Evelyn V. Rohrbaugh, age 96, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008, in her home after a brief illness. Mrs. Rohrbaugh was a 1930 graduate of Edgerton High School and was chief operator at General Telephone in Bryan, Ohio, retiring in 1977 with thirty-five years of service. Evelyn V. Rohrbaugh was born on May 18, 1912, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Olin George and Ethel (Goeltzenleuchter) Jewell. She married Walter S. Rohrbaugh in June of 1933 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Rohrbaugh is survived by a sister, Carol Morgan, of Edgerton, Ohio, a daughter-in-law, Caroline Rohrbaugh, of Bryan, Ohio, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Chauncey “Al” Rohrbaugh, in 2007, one sister, Virginia Koby, and one brother, Burl Jewell. Services for Evelyn V. Rohrbaugh will be private with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. There will be no visitation. Memorials in the name of Evelyn V. Rohrbaugh may be given to Community Hospitals of Williams County-Hospice Care.
