Donna M. Crites

Donna M. Crites, age 87, of rural Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:32 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2008, at Harborside Healthcare Northwest Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Crites was a homemaker and had also worked as an assembler at Bryan Canning Company and Spangler Candy Company. She was a member of Union Chapel Church of God and WCSC, the women’s group at the church. Donna M. Crites was born on September 25, 1920, in Williams County, Ohio, the daughter of Wesley and Lulu (Jolly) Davis. She married Arthur J. Crites on June 1, 1940, in Ney, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2006. Mrs. Crites is survived by two sons, Ray J. (Joyce) Crites, of Ney, Ohio, and Gene A. (Michelle) Crites, of Bryan, Ohio, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one sister, Kathryn Robinson, of Bryan, Ohio. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Crites was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Bernard, and one brother, Lloyd Davis. Visitation for Donna M. Crites will be on Wednesday, August 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Grave side services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, at Evansport Cemetery, Evansport, Ohio, with Pastor Dennis E. Jones officiating. Memorials in the name of Donna M. Crites may be given to the activities program at the Lighthouse Ward of Harborside Healthcare Northwest Ohio.
