View Video Tribute George R. Wisler, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at 4:45 p.m. in his residence after a short illness. Mr. Wisler was a Navy veteran. He was a patternmaker for the former Wisler Pattern Works for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1915 of Bryan, Ohio. In retirement, Mr. Wisler was an avid golfer. George R. Wisler was born on November 2, 1928, in Galion, Ohio, the son of Oscar H. and Jeanette I. (Pennock) Wisler. He married Maryalice “Alice” Schill on June 21, 1952, in New Washington, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Wisler is survived by three daughters, Jeanette M. “Jenny" (Mike) Sanders, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Diane K. (Bruce) Vincent, Schoolcraft, Michigan, and Marty W. (Todd) Swenson, Chicago, Illinois; three sons, Richard A. “Dick” (Ledung) Wisler, Bridgewater, New Jersey, John M. (Jeanne) Wisler, Billings, Montana, and Ken A. (Robyn) Wisler, Aurora, Colorado. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, two sisters, Helen (Joe) Henry and Ruth Cass, both of Galion, Ohio; three brothers, Robert (Carol) Wisler of Bryan, Edward (Peggy) Wisler of Pennsylvania and William (Joanne) Wisler of Marion, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Eric J. and Nathan S. Vincent, and two brothers, Charles and John Wisler. Funeral services for George R. Wisler will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio. Visitation for Mr. Wisler will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with a rosary service on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at St. Patrick Catholic Church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Memorials in the name of George R. Wisler may be given to Community Health and Wellness Centers-Hospice Care or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
